In March 2003 there was no such thing as a blog. I won't try to pull an Al Gore and claim to have invented them, but I did keep the journal online as well as keeping an email distribution list - an email was sent out daily. In the book the date marked "originally published" is the time and date the entry was posted.
The original website which hosted the blog of Rebecca's birth is gone. It was hosted on our UK internet service provider and was deleted when we cancelled our account. In any event it was changed daily and I kept the last week on a rotating basis. I used HotDog Pagemaker by Sausage Software.
The original material however was preserved and can be seen in the raw form here in this recreation of the blog of the first 7 days of Rebecca's life.
